Type section is on the Boas River, central Southampton Island (64° 22' 45"N, 84° 31' 30"W).

Distribution:

Hudson Basin, Foxe Basin and Ungava Basin.

Locality Data:

Thickness(m): Typical 2.

Lithology:

Thinly bedded limestone at base overlain by thinly bedded organic-rich shale.

Fossils:

Pseudogygites hudsoni (Ludvigsen, 1979).

Relationship:

Conformably underlain by the Bad Cache Rapids or the Amadjuak formations. Conformably overlain by Churchill River or Akpatok formations.
