Lithology:
Light yellow to grey, microcrystalline to bioclastic, fossiliferous, cherty limestone and dolostone; bituminous and dolomitic limestone locally present (Thurston et. al., 1992).

Relationship:
Lower contact disconformable (?) with Bad Cache Rapids Group and Boas River Formation (Thurston et. al., 1992). Nelson (1963) divided the Group into the Caution Creek and Chasm Creek formations.
